Hi, guys! I've been wasted my time dealing with online job scammer recently, so that's why I'm too exhausted to stay blogging this past few days.
So, without any further ado.. let's get started!!
1. How often do you watch a movie?
Pretty often, usually more than three times a month. But this year I ended up only watching a few🤔
2. What movie genre are you particularly fond of?
I'd love to watch pretty much all genres, but Fantasy, Psychological thriller/horror, War/History, Action, Mysteri and Sci-fi are my favorites
3. What was the last movie that you’ve watched and liked?
Soul. I just loved it! The jazz, the animation, the story, the characters, eeeeverything!!
4. What was the last movie that you’ve watched and hated?
Ali & the Queens. Well, I don’t think I hated this movie, I just felt that something was off in some parts—I don't know if it's about the storyline or something else? And it's not that bad either, some people might love and enjoy the movie cuz the cinematography and acting among all the actors looks pretty good.
5. What is your most favorite movie of all time?
1917. It's been more than a year already since this movie was released but I can still feel the same excitement every time I discuss it with my friends—just like the time I watched it. This movie is really amazing, the idea of a one-take camera really blows my mind. Such a masterpiece!! They deserve all the Oscar wins though.
6. Your most favorite guilty pleasure movie?
War of the Worlds, The Purge
7. What movie/movies have you watched a million times already?
There are so many!! Harry Potter, Sam Raimi's Spiderman, Titanic, pretty much a few Disney movie, Avengers: Endgame, Spy Kids, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Baby's Day Out (well, who doesn't watch it million times on Christmas holiday?🤣), The Polar Express, Mr. Bean, Zathura, etc. Seems like i got some references from holiday movie, huh? Well even so, I didn't watch Home Alone that much because I couldn't feel relate to their culture, and my 10 year-old self at the time thought it was a bit unrealistic for a child to fight against a gang of robbers who were grown men in a big house (even though they're stupid af) and doesn't even have a good neighbor (I guess?) who he can turn to for help LOL but it was all fun though😆.
8. Are you the type who watches a movie on its first day of showing?
Not really, it depends. If there's the movie I really want to watch, I'll watch them on its first day release.
9. How often do you go to a movie house to watch a movie?
Not very often, at least twice a month.
10. What are the movies that made you cry?
Canola, Kim Ji Young: Born 1982, Train to Busan (drama film and South Korean production is such a best combo of tearjerker movie), and Doraemon: Stand by Me (both movie)
11. What are your favorite foreign films?
Parasite
12. Who are your favorite directors?
Sam Mendes, Joko Anwar
13. Are you particular with movie scores, soundtracks, and musics?
Exactly, I do think that a music can definitely enhance a movie. No matter how serious and dark the genre is, it would be weird if there's no contribution of good scores, soundtracks, etc. For example, it's very clear that one of the factors that made Harry Potter memorable was their soundtrack. Each movie must have its own characteristics, and it can be showed through the music score.
14. Do you have favorite musical movie? Yep, Les Misérables and Into the Woods
15. Have you ever watched a movie alone on a movie house?
Yass!! Last movie I watched alone was Frozen 2.
16. Is there any movie that has changed your perspective in life?
NKCTHI. This movie is one of the reasons that made me write Di Balik Angkasa.
17. DC or Marvel movies? Marvel😁
18. What movie irritates you (but doesn't mean you hate it) when you watch it?
The Devil All the Time (just like the title, i got pissed off a lot seeing too many "devils" on the movie, poor my Tom), Extraction (i don't like the coloring they used to portray India, too orange?)
19. Do you read movie critic reviews before watching a film?
Sometimes. Waktu masih bisa nonton di bioskop, gue sering banget nontonin video-videonya CineKrib.
20. What is the best movie adapted from a book?
Little Women, Hugo
21. Do you watch the movie before reading the book or vice versa?
If there is a book I really liked, I prefer not to watch the movie—especially if the cast and trailer don't look convincing. It might ruin my imagination of the whole plot. I also rarely read the book after watching the movie, cuz I think the main story is already explained enough—unless it's highly recommended, I might consider it. So, it's either watch after read the book, or only watch the movie without read the book.
22. Animated film?
Soul, Toy Story, Doraemon: Stand by Me, Up, Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse
24. Horror film?
The Ring, A Tale of Two Sister, Pengabdi Setan, Solomon's Perjury, Perempuan Tanah Jahanam
25. Sci-fi?
Outside MCU and BCU: CJ7, Children of Men. Fun fact!! I was not really into sci-fi movie back then, gabungan fiksi dan ilmiah somehow bikin gue pusing dan kurang bisa menikmati film sebagai hiburan saat itu. I've watched many, such as Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Bumblebee, Robot & Frank, Godzilla and Star Wars but none of these movie enthralled me. Mungkin hanya sedikit yang bisa gue nikmati. Barulah tiga tahun kebelakang selera genre film yang gue suka mulai diverse daripada sebelumnya.
26. Action movies?
Mission Impossible, John Wick (Can't wait for the chapter 4!), The Raid: Redemption, The Battleship Island, Kung Fu Hustle
27. War movies?
1917, Greyhound, Dunkirk, The Battle of Jangsari
28. Any movie character you can relate to? I’m sure there is one, but I can’t think of any right now.
29. If you are only watch five movies for the rest of your life, what would the movies be?
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, 1917, Spiderman 2 (2003), In This Corner of the World, Little Women
30. Your least favorite movie of all time?
Dreadout (Indonesian horror movie: the acting was quite awful, unrealistic, better just play the game itself), Countdown (I hate horror movie that has a lot of jumpscares🙄)
31. What movie that didn't meet your expectation and vice versa?
Expected to be good but failed:
Tenet, Mulan, The Rhythm Section, Alive, Ali dan Ratu-Ratu Queens (but honestly it's better than any other Indonesian drama movies, including➡️), Rentang Kisah
Exceeded my expectation:
1917, Kim Ji Young: Born 1982, The Call, Sabar Ini Ujian
32. Remake you wish had never been made?
A hundred percent definitely The Amazing Spiderman😂 I thought they were wasting their time making these two reboot movies when in fact they didn't work that well according to IMDb. I'd much rather watch Spiderman 4 which was already in script development around that time, letting Sam Raimi fix the producer's "mistake" that had forced the existence of venom on the third film. Even though we have Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy who is a very strong character in the film, but that's not enough. The musical score is also good, but honestly I prefer Danny Elfman's score in the original trilogy because they felt more memorable and left a lasting impression (i even put them on my Spotify playlist).
33. Right now think of any movie, what comes first?
Alice in Wonderland🐰😂
34. Film that you can’t wait for it to come out?
Spiderman: No Way Home!!! I'm literally dying the trailer hasn't came out yet. I also get excited to see Mission Impossible considering it's been almost three years since the last movie released. And wait!! I shouldn't forget about Fantastic Beast 3 and Sri Asih🙈. Oh God, it turns out to be more than I thought..
35. TV series, books, computer games, or movies in order of interest?
Movies, TV Series, books, then video games. I rarely play video games to be honest, and when I do, I only play Counter-Strikes😆.
36. Lastly if your life story is to be made into a movie, who would you like to portray you? Who should be directing it and what would be the title?
I would have Maudy Ayunda or Cut Syifa (jujur susah nemuin aktris Indonesia sebaya gue yang bukan mixed, kayaknya 85% blasteran semua ehe🙃) and Angga Dwi Sasongko as the director. The title would be "Notes of Little Sister/Catatan Adik Kecil" and it's a gonna be a family-drama movie😍.
SO, yeah. That's all for 36 questions movie tag!!
Lastly, I tag everyone for this movie questions tag!! Please tell me what's your favorite movies in the comment section below😍 xoxo.
